The music festival, which includes Scottish country dancing, verse speaking, pipes and drums, choirs, group music making and vocal solos and duets and traditional fiddle, starts on Wednesday March 22 and runs until Friday March 24, in Whiting Bay Hall.
The Wednesday morning session commences at 10am, and features primary school Scottish country dancing, choric speaking and verse speaking/poems, and the afternoon session starts at 2pm, with a full programme for solo strings.
Thursday morning will start slightly earlier at 9.45pm for the Burns verse speaking, followed by primary school chanter solos and drums and secondary schools drums and pipes. The afternoon session commences at 1.15pm, with a full programme of pipe solos.
Friday morning starts at 10am and will showcase vocal ensembles/choirs, action song/singing games (nursery children), action songs by primary children, and group music making.
The Friday afternoon session starts at 1.45pm with piano solos, non-competitive instrumental/ verse/vocal, vocal solos, traditional fiddle solos and traditional fiddle groups.
The Friday evening session opens at 6.30pm, and will feature traditional vocal solos, traditional instrumental ensemble, non-competitive solo/duet or ensemble, and the festival concludes with the announcement of the overall trophy winners.
