Argyll Ceilidh Trail will play an acoustic set at the Traditional Concert at Campbeltown Heritage Centre on Saturday August 12 before a full ceilidh/festival to open the Glen Scotia West Coast Rocks Concert in the Victoria Hall later that evening.
The Fiona Hunter Trio will be headlining the Traditional Concert, while Skipinnish and Ceol an Aire from Oban will also perform at the Glen Scotia West Coast Rocks Concert.
The Argyll Ceilidh Trail features six young, up-and-coming musicians who perform across Argyll. The musicians will be on the road for four weeks visiting Inveraray, Arran, Mull, Tiree and Oban and they are delighted to have the chance to perform acoustic and ceilidh sets at this year's MOKFest.
The instrumental arrangement of the band includes guitar, Highland and Border pipes, fiddle, piano, whistle, clarinet and Gaelic song.
Tickets for all this year’s concerts, involving Kathleen MacInnes with Mike Vass, Skara Ceilidh Band, Mairi Campbell, Archie McAllister with Sileas Sinclair, Slainte Davaar Allstars and Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, are available from A P Taylor, Main Street, Campbeltown, and online at www.mokfest.com/tickets
Visit the new MOKFest website at www.mokfest.com for more information on this year's festival.
