The fund's Pete White gave the update. An amendment was agreed to change status to a development trust.
As a development trust AGF hopes to pull projects together that benefit the whole community rather than having to wait for applications from other groups.
Membership qualifications were revised to include all residents in Ardgour, who are over 16 years and on the electoral role.
The next steps are to promote membership within the community and to develop a community action plan for the entire area.
Community councillor Elizabeth Carmichael added that the community council should feed ideas back to AGF to spread information and help prioritise actions.
Membership was doubled at the public meeting but still remains very small so there is an aim to increase it substantially.
