Dunaverty Golf Club
Fifty-five teams totalling 165 players competed for the Gary Thomas Memorial Scramble 2024 title at Dunaverty Golf Club last Saturday.
A fantastic day was had by all and, as usual, the clubhouse was buzzing and bursting to capacity for the prize-giving in the evening.
Winners: Nearest the pin at: 1st (second shot): Paul Garner 5ft 3in; 2nd Ailie MacBrayne 6ft 9in; 4th Anthony McKay 61in; 7th Marc Longmuir 8ft 3in; 10th Jim Williamson 42in; 14th Scott Graham 6ft 7in; 15th: (second shot) Kenny Pallas 4ft 3in; 16th Elizabeth Marrison 10in. Gents’ longest drive: Kenny Pallas; ladies’ longest drive: Elizabeth Marrison.
“Thanks from everyone at the club to the Thomas family for their continued support of our wee club and to all the hole sponsors and donators of the superb spot prizes which make the competition so attractive for all who travel from near and far,” said a spokesperson.
“Thanks go to greenkeepers Jonathan Barbour and Campbell MacBrayne for preparing the course and to Moyra Jane Paterson and staff at The Putt Stop for managing expertly with the large numbers that traversed the clubhouse throughout the day.”
