Copies of a first run of A Taste of Oban compiling favourite recipes from the town's Inner Wheel members sold out in just four weeks making £1,108 for MND charity My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Donations from Oban Lorn Rugby Club, Oban Rotary Club, Bid4Oban, and various individuals helped get the first 100 printed and because they were such a sell-out success, Bid4Oban then put even more support into the mix and now another 200 copies have gone on sale.
The Inner Wheel Club Oban wants to thank everyone for continued support and encouragement.
The books cost £10 and are available from Bids4Oban office, Outside Edge and by mail order, at an additional cost £1.50, by sending enquiries to tasteofobaniw@gmail.com.
Photographs and recipes from soups to cocktails pack the book's 100 pages and chefs from Coast, The Manor House and Etive restaurants in town have also contributed.
Former Oban High School pupil Ruth Williamson, formerly Gibson, inspired the book. Ruth, who now lives in Edinburgh, was given two years to live by doctors after being diagnosed with the disease that affects the brain and nerves, but has incredibly beaten the odds four years later by seeing her daughter Anna start school.
