Bob MacIntyre has got off to a promising start at the prestigious Hero World Challenge.
Bob began his quest for the title in the Bahamas at 4.19pm yesterday after landing an invite to the glamour event which is hosted by Tiger Woods in aid of his charitable foundation.
The tournament, which takes place annually, brings together 20 of the top players from around the world and the Oban man’s inclusion in this elite field highlights his continued rise in the golfing world over the last 12 months.
The 28-year-old, who has racked up a string of impressive performances this year on the DP World Tour and notched titles on both sides of the Atlantic, has steadily made a name for himself in global golf during 2025.
He has added the Candian and Scottish opens to his trophy haul and is perfectly placed to challenged again over the next three days after an opening round of -4.
The bookies had rated him a 25/1 shot to take the title, but he is trading a lot shorter now as he sits just four off leader Cameron Young going into Friday’s round.
Bob tees off at 5.01pm alongside Sahith Theegala.
