Braevallich Farm Gardens, by Ford was the destination for Oban u3a Gardens and Wildflowers Group recently.
The visit to the Braevallich Farm Gardens was organised with the owner, Philip Bowden-Smith.
The gardens are stunning at present - a fantastic display of unusual rhododendrons and azaleas in a beautiful woodland setting in the upper garden, complete with lovely suspension bridge.
The lower garden round the farmhouse is quite different, with swathes of shorter azaleas, but also drifts of blue Mecanopsis poppies and candelabra primulas.
Through the Scottish Gardens Scheme, the gardens are open to the public on Sunday June 2 from 12.30pm till 5.30pm. A donation of £6 towards Mary’s Meals is requested.
