After a successful recruitment drive for new members of the sea-going team, the charity is now seeking to bolster the number of land-based volunteer fundraisers.
Coxswain Ally Cerexhe says he hopes people will drop in and hear more about the role:
“The best way to understand what’s involved in being part of the team here in Oban is to meet us and have an informal chat about what we do.
“We’re going to open our doors and put on the kettle between 11am and 4pm tomorrow (Saturday 27 May) at the lifeboat station on South Pier in Oban.
“I hope people who are interested in helping will be able to drop in, meet us, have a look around and talk to us about any aspect of fundraising and community engagement volunteering that interests them.
“Fundraisers are hugely important to the operations here and we hope that more people will consider joining us.”
