A burst water main that caused the sudden closure of Lochgilphead Joint Campus just before classes were due to start on Monday morning has been repaired.
At 2.30pm on Monday September 30 a spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “Normal water supplies are now slowly restoring for customers in the area.”
“Our teams have re-routed water through unaffected parts of our network in order to restore water supplies for the majority of affected customers.
"Please be aware that you may experience no water or intermittent pressure until the repair is finalised."
A few hours later, announcing that the repair had been completed, the spokesperson apologised for the inconvenience caused and added: “We have repaired a burst water main near Lochgilphead High School, which was the cause of an interruption to water supplies for customers in the Lochgilphead, Kilmory and Lochgair areas.
“Please be aware that you may experience no water or intermittent pressure whilst the network recovers. You may also experience discoloured water as your supply restores.”
