Residents of Kintyre Care Centre enjoyed getting into the Hallowe’en spirit last week.
On Wednesday October 30, they were joined by some staff member’s children for a Hallowe’en party that included lots of singing, dancing and games.
The following day, on Hallowe’en itself, residents and staff attended their second private film screening at Campbeltown Picture House this month, this time to see the 1961 romcom Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Everyone had a great time.
On Thursday evening, the care home invited children out trick or treating to pay them a visit to pick up some goodies.
“We had decorated our garden area where we handed out treats to everyone who came along to show us their costumes,” said Susan Ellis, senior wellbeing coordinator at the home.
“Residents said it was such a joy to see the children all dressed up and to see them so excited to show off their costumes.
“Residents have already decided that this is something that they would like to do every year and were so pleased about how many children turned up to visit them.”
