Youngsters at St Columba’s Primary School welcomed visitors from all walks of work to their recent careers day.
The Primary 1 to Primary 4 pupils had a fantastic morning exploring the world of work and had some wonderful hands-on experience on the day.
Their visitors were from many different workplaces and they provided information for the pupils to learn, explore, and ask questions about.
Among those there were nurses Anna and Darren from Lorn and Islands Hospital; Ben Tinline Bartholomew from Police Scotland; Kelsey MacInnes, Lauren Darrah and Caitlin MacDonald from Oro Rosa beauty salon; Rebecca Neilson from Amore hairdresser; Callum Fox and Lyam Fox, who are football coach/Oban Saints; YouTuber known as Digger Girl Amy Underwood; Fiona Leadbeater, who teaches art at Oban High School; cake-maker Ola Freitas; Connor MacIntyre and others from Oban Fire Station; Niamh and Julie from Oban Veterinary Surgeons; and Nikki and Hannah from Nikki’s Canine Sessions.
"The children had a terrific time and they would like to thank everyone who attended," said school clerical assistant Helen McGuigan.
