Carradale Music Festival continues to scale the heights, with the 2025 event selling out for the sixth consecutive year.
Despite the East Kintyre village having a population of less than 600, its annual festival manages to attract some of Scotland’s top musicians, with bands and acts this year including electro-Celtic band Face The West, young and energetic trad/folk group Hò-rò, dynamic bagpipe pop band Rollin Drones and singer-songwriter Calum Jones, who blends indie rock and folk.
They were joined by many other local and visiting artists at the two-day festival, held at Carradale Village Hall last Friday and Saturday.
Supporting Friday night headliner Hò-rò on the festival’s Kilkerran Single Malt-sponsored main stage were party band FLING, folk-rock singer-songwriter Calum Campbell and lively trad band Culla.
The fun kicked off again on Saturday, both on the main stage and on the AM Transport-sponsored outside stage.
Kintyre Schools Pipe Band opened the outdoors entertainment, followed by acoustic/electric trio Under Smoke, and another performances by Culla and Calum Campbell, with rock and pop covers band CHUNKS closing the outdoor stage entertainment.
Inside the hall, fiddle and guitar duo Archie and Arran McAllister warmed up the main stage for Calum Jones, Rollin Drones and Face The West.
“What a weekend we have had!” said festival organiser Raymond Gosling. “We cannot thank you all enough.
“Firstly, a massive thanks to all our 2025 sponsors: Kilkerran Single Malt, AM Transport, Mowi Scotland, Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, L Black & Co, Ashbank Hotel, Peter McKerral & Co Ltd, Kintyre Glamping Pods and the Campbeltown Co-op.
“Thank you to all the volunteers that have helped, too, your help is greatly appreciated.
“Finally, we would like to thank YOU! Year in year out, we are supported incredibly by you all and to sell out six years running is pretty special.
“We will see you in Carradale in 2026.”
