Supergroup fans would have had a feast at Appin’s Old Inn when The Killers popped in for dinner.
The band, who are playing at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro this week, were on a taxi tour of the Highlands when their driver brought them in for one of the inn’s famed steaks.
Despite 20 to 30 people in the bar, no one recognised them at first - even after Nicola Meakin who works there quipped: "That table over there looks as though they should be starting up a grunge band in their parents’ garage."
Old Inn owner Jim Milligan said Nicola finally went over to check out the diners’ true identity when a customer at the bar thought they looked familiar.
"We’ve had a few minor celebrities in before, but not like this. It’s been suggested we frame the photo and put it up somewhere. The band had been chatting away to an elderly couple on the next table. They told them they had a gig in Glasgow. The couple asked which pub and they said the Hydro!" said Jim.
