Michelle Hewitt walks her dog on the green space just off Dalriach Road and is becoming fed up at picking up to five dog poos per day that have been left by other owners failing to pick up after their dog.
Ms Hewitt said: 'It seems to be more of an issue in this field than in the rest of the town because people maybe think they have more chance of getting away with it here.
'It might be more that people are taking their dogs out in the darkness without a light and so aren't bothering to look for the mess they've left behind.'
She added: 'It's getting a bit of pain now and it's not fair on the kids who are trying to play on the field.'
A potential deterrent could be signs which remind dog owners about picking up any mess they leave behind.
There were previously signs in the area, but these have been removed over the years, with BID4Oban offering to help reinstate these if they are erected by Argyll & Bute Council.
BID4Oban chief executive, Andrew Spence said: 'BID4Oban previously funded dog fouling signage some years ago. We will fully support Michelle in ensuring this open area is kept clean and clear of dog mess. It is so important that the town creates the best impression for visitors and residents.'
