The community council, which covers settlements like Kilmartin, Ford and Kilmichael Glassary, meets every two months, is made up of volunteer community councillors, with space for three new members to be co-opted in.
A Dunadd Community Council spokesperson said: "At the next AGM on Thursday May 25, the current chairperson, David Smart, will step down.
"Without a chairperson, DCC is at risk of folding, so if you are a resident in the Dunadd area on the electoral role, and would be interested in becoming chairperson, or a community councillor, please complete a co-option form found in the Governance section on the Argyll and Bute Council website - Community Councils (argyll-bute.gov.uk) and send this to secretary@dunaddcc.org before Wednesday May 10 2023.
"If you have any questions about what is involved, please see our website dunaddcc.org for all our minutes and news articles, or email us using the secretary address and one of our existing community councillors will get in touch.
"As elected representatives of our local communities, the community council plays a vital role in bringing very local issues to the attention of the council.
"The more people involved, the better the representation.
"With the challenging financial situation of the last few years it is really important that the scarce resources of the local authority are put to best use and that’s part of what we try to ensure."
