The relief vessel on the Corran Narrows route is back in action after having been pulled from service this morning due to a technical issue.
The Maid of Glencoul, the Corran Ferry’s back-up vessel, is currently operating as the main boat on the route while the MV Corran undergoes its annual refit.
At 7.19am this morning it was announced that the Maid of Glencoul service had been sidelined due to ’technical difficulties’.
Engineers began working on the repair and continued on site throughout the morning, with an update provided at 12:22pm by Corran Ferry bosses.
They said: "We are currently sourcing new parts, they should be here soon, and if all is well we hope the ferry will be operational later this afternoon."
The ferry was announced as back on at 3:55pm and ferry management said: "We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."
