Sections of the A82 and A86 at Spean Bridge are due to close over five nights from June 13 for essential resurfacing.
BEAR Scotland says it will be necessary to close the sections of the road between 8pm and 6am, from Thursday June 13 until the morning of Thursday June 20, to ensure the safety of its workforce and members of the public.
Amnesty periods will be in place where work on site will be temporarily suspended, and vehicles will then be escorted through the site. This will operate at the following times: 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 2am and 4am. No works will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday nights.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “These maintenance works on the A82 at Spean Bridge will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
“The overnight closures are essential to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists.
“We thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete this project. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
