Mallaig 3

A young Fort William reserves team faced two fixtures in a week as they looked to build on their first league win of the season.
However, it was not to be.
First up were old foes Mallaig in a midweek encounter.
Goals for Ross Douglas, Sam Mackenzie and Marc Maclean set the Morar men on the road to victory despite being pegged back by a second half Jamie Maconnel penalty.

Wick Groats 6
Highland Amateur Cup
Next up were Wick Groats who made the long trip from Caithness.
Greg Shearer opened the scoring for the visitors before Ruaridh ‘Pigeon’ MacDonald levelled for Fort William and
the youngsters continued to compete well throughout the first half.
At the opening of the second half, Fort William conceded a freak goal from kick-off after the Wick player hit it from the halfway line, exploiting the 16-year-old keeper being blinded by the sun.
Wick went onto to score five more goals - a Ben Sinclair double and strikes from Micheal Steven, Steven Anderson and Ellis Alexander.
It was a tough lesson for the young Fort William side who are all aged between 14 and 21 years.
