The Fort William Festive Fund have an evening of music, entertainment, fun and games planned. Many of the shops are opening till late with some offering Christmas treats or special offers.
Santa will get to Cameron Square to switch on the Christmas lights at 6pm before heading to his grotto in the West Highland Museum. There will be fun, games and a face painter in the New Connections building near Gordon Square and at the Parade in the Buzz project, there will be a DJ set plus local musicians throughout the evening.
Mr and Mrs Bubbles the clowns are returning this year, Maddie will be balloon modelling and raffle tickets will be on sale at the cinema. A multitude of musicians will be performing in the Square as well as Fort Sessions arranging live music in some of the pubs.
'We hope many of the community will come along and support the evening and fingers crossed the weather is fine. See you there,' said Festive Fund spokesperson Karen Dean.
