The team at the clinic in Glen Nevis Place was aware of the amazing work and vital service Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team provides year-round in rescuing walkers, climbers and their pets and were keen to do what they could do to help.
Mairi Thom, clinical director at Crown Vets Fort William, added: 'Our team here, by the very nature of caring for animals, already play a really valuable and positive role in the community.
'It’s great that we’ve also been able to win a community grant for the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team. Being able to donate to this cause and thereby help in a small way is important to our team here at Crown Vets, Fort William.'
Dr Brian Tregaskis, secretary of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, added: 'We’re very grateful to the team at Crown Vets, Fort William for selecting us for their community grant.
'This donation will make a big difference in helping us in our core function in rescuing people in distress on the mountains and on occasion when called upon to aid animals, which we always endeavour to respond to where possible.'
