Visiting teams at the event, staged at Lochaber High School, included two talented Highland District U17s teams - the netball stars of the future.
Each game was highly competitive but full of fun. Eighteen Fort William and Oban-based players turned up to the event helping the Falcons win three of the four matches they played.

Match scores were as follows: Fort William Falcons 64-29 Lochaber High School Students; Fort William Falcons 54-36 Highland District U17s Squad (A); Fort William Falcons 39-43 Highland District U17s Squad (B); Fort William Falcons 30-20 Lochaber High School Staff
The Falcons' Christina Wood played the equivalent of three whole matches racking up nearly 18,000 steps and burning almost 3000 calories. It just goes to show that netball is a highly physical sport and a great way to stay in
shape.
With the organisational help of Bridget Thomas (Active Schools Co-ordinator), teachers and parents, four Lochaber primary school teams also attended the event to participate in a mini-tournament in the middle of the day.

Two teams from Caol Primary School and two from Spean Bridge Primary came along and enjoyed every minute they spent on and off the court. Caol P7s were impressive, winning all of their matches.
Many members from the Falcons put their baking skills to good use and brought along a variety of homemade goodies. The bake sale was a huge success, and thanks to the generosity of Lidl Fort William they were also able to offer free healthy snacks to participants.
With help from Highlife Highland for venue hire, along with proceeds from the bake sale and sponsorship, the Falcons raised £650 which will be used to help with future venue hire costs, coaching course fees and the purchase of kit and equipment.
Falcons' captain, Rebecca Christopher, who organised the tournament, told the Lochaber Times: 'To see so many girls and women of all ages enjoying netball together at the same event was inspiring. The Falcons' future looks bright.'
