The Prince and Princess of Wales will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary with a special visit to Mull where they will highlight the strength and spirit of rural communities.
William and Kate will travel to the island for a two-day visit, meeting craftspeople, farmers and residents.
While formally titled the Prince and Princess of Wales, in Scotland they are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.
Their visit will begin one week from today, on April 29 in Tobermory.
The couple will begin their visit at Aros Hall, the vital community hub which hosts many events, clubs and community meetings,
They will also tour the Tobermory producers’ market in the harbour by Ledaig car park and the town’s pontoons, sampling produce and meeting some of Mull’s makers and creators, as well as members of the public.
During the visit, William and Kate’s Royal Foundation is expected to announce a partnership to support and develop two community spaces across Mull to ensure residents can continue to meet and network.
For their second engagement of the day, William and Kate will visit Croft Three near Ulva ferry.
They will stop at the Croft Three restaurant and spend their afternoon meeting the Hebridean sheep farmed on the 50-acre site, helping the croft owners select fresh produce.
They will finish their day by meeting the members of the community who have become regulars of the croft.
On day two of their trip, William and Kate will meet countryside rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service at the Ardura Community Forest, which is owned and operated by the Mull and Iona Community Trust.
The royals will join a school group as they take part in outdoor learning, and meet Ardura Acorns, an early years outdoor learning group that includes nature trails, den-building and animal tracking.
To coincide with Their Royal Highnesses’ visit, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales will be announcing support for the Mull and Iona Ranger Service.
