Helen Gilchrist will be quizmaster at the fundraiser in Campbeltown Bowling Club on Saturday September 30. The event will start at 8pm and entry is £5 per person.
“Please come along and help fund your annual Christmas lights display,” said a Campbeltown Christmas Lights group spokesperson.
“Each year, it costs around £5,000 to have the Christmas Light display; this covers basic repairs, installation and removal, and insurance. It is a lot of money for around six weeks' display.
“Lights in Longrow will soon be needing replaced too, so we need as much support as possible.
“Huge thanks to Helen for organising this fundraiser. If anyone or local businesses would like to donate a raffle prize, we would be most grateful.”
This year's Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Friday November 24 and the lights group has already purchased new lights to create a ceiling of light in Burnside Square.
