Following a gritty final day at the Arnold Palmer International on Sunday, the 24-year-old lefty has jumped another place in the World Ranking table where he now sits in 42nd spot.
Bob began the final day at Bay Hill Golf Course, Florida, two under in a tied 19th position. A tricky first eight saw him drop to four over but four birdies in the last 10 holes turned things around again for a level par 72 to jump 15 places, finishing two over and tied 36th.
The previous week, he made his PGA debut at the WGC Workday Championship at The Concession Golf Course where he finished tied 61 on eight over. Posting on Twitter after the event, Bob wrote a note to himself: 'Mind bring your wedge game the next time.'
This week - March 11 to March 14 - The Players Championship returns to TPC Sawgrass after 2020’s unprecedented cancellation after the first round as a result of the emerging coronavirus pandemic. Dustin Johnson, reigning FedExCup champion and current world number one, leads a field that includes 28 of the top 30 in the current FedExCup standings and 48 of the world’s top 50, including Bob.
With no champion crowned last year, Rory McIlroy, who would go on to win the FedExCup for the second time after winning The Players in 2019, will be looking to defend his title from two years ago.
