Glenfinnan gears up for 77th Gathering

There is something for everyone - piping, dancing, heavy and field events, children’s games, bouncy castle, and the famous tea tent, stocked and run by the ladies of the village.

This year sees an exciting new dance programme, open to all dancers. The age groups are 8-11 years, who dance Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Sean Truibhas, Strathspey & Reel and Flora.

The 12-15 years age group dance Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Sean Truibhas, Strathspey & Reel and Flora.

The Adult category dance Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Sean Truibhas, Strathspey & Reel, Highland Schottische, Sailor’s Hornpipe and Irish Jig.

There is also an added a fourth prize to each category - a great opportunity to dance in a unique and spectacular setting.

The Games Field dance platform benefits from a covered roof and entries will be taken at the secretary’s tent on the day.
