An adventurous pensioner got to fulfil a lifelong dream when he took to the skies over Oban Airport - at the grand age of 91.
Eadar Glinn resident Herbert Walker had always wanted to go on a flight and the experience at Oban Airport brought him "immense joy" according to one of the residential home staff who accompanied him.
The flight took Herbert over to Jura, Shuna, Lismore before stopping off at Colonsay and returning to Oban.
Herbert once worked on Shuna and lived on Lismore before becoming a resident at Eader Glinn.
A spokesperson for Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership said: "A special shoutout goes to the exceptional team at Oban Airport for their warm welcome and efforts in help in making Herbert’s flight a memorable one.
"With his adventurous spirit ignited, he is eagerly anticipating what he can do next."
