More than 30 pupils participated in the tournament at Oban Tennis Courts on Monday (June 26), which was supported by the West Highland Tennis Tournament that had to be cancelled this year.
It provided some thoroughly entertaining tennis action, with matches involving the senior boys S4-S6, junior boys S1-S3, and in a girls competition.
Sean Drummond won the senior boys competition, defeating Innes MacCallum 6–3 in an excellent final, which involved long rallies and high quality performances.

Lewis took a 6-2 win in that decider, while Ryan finished third after pipping Angus Dundas.

There were also consolation draw winners, with Shaye Black winning in this category for the seniors and Joe Corns for the juniors as Carrick Hobson and Daniel MacInnes finished as runner-ups respectively.
Oban High School PE teacher, Denise Gemmell, said: "Everyone taking part in the competition had an excellent day.

"There were big improvements as the day went on and the pupils got more confident on the court. The quality of all our finals was great and most importantly the sportsmanship was top class."
The Oban Tennis and Squash Club provide tennis coaching for all secondary school pupils on Sunday's between 1pm and 2pm and club memberships cost £39 per year.
This enables members to access the tennis courts all year round and the club have said that they would warmly welcome new members.
