Oban will be run by the arts in the coming week, as The Highland Art Prize exhibition comes to the Rockfield Centre. Running concurrently with the Royal National Mòd, there will be plenty of different art forms in town for you to enjoy.
The Highland Art Prize, organised by the Highland Society of London as a fringe event for the Mòd, brings together 60 artworks from 14 art organisations across the Highlands and Islands.
The works of some of the best artists around will be on display for your viewing pleasure at Rockfield from October 11 until October 18, when the winner of the exhibition will be decided during a ceremony at 12.30pm.
Judging is Isle of Lewis artist and art teacher Ishbel Murray, who will select a shortlist of twelve - and then a winner, and a highly commended runner-up.
An opening celebration will be held on Saturday October 12 from 5.30pm-7pm, all are welcome.
