People in Lochgilphead and the area are being invited to join a free Science of Green Health and Wellbeing workshop in the town on Sunday.
Organised by The GRAB trust in Argyll and Bute the event will see participants learn about scientifically supported techniques and the benefits of nature on people’s health and wellbeing.
"Discover the research and try out simple ways to use green spaces to improve our mental and physical health," said a spokesperson for the workshop.
"From reducing stress to boosting our immune system, try out methods to see how nature plays a crucial role in our overall wellbeing.
"Find out for yourself if mindfulness and wellbeing is as good as all the hype says.
"Please ensure you are dressed for the weather on the day and wear sturdy footwear.
"We will be outdoors for the entire event and it will involve a mixture of discussions and activities including a short litter pick and litter survey.
"We’ll be using public green spaces so if you want to be sure of a seat or mat to sit on the ground, please bring your own.
"All ages are welcome to join us, children should be supervised by a responsible adult.
"We would like to welcome all abilities to join us too, the event is planned to involve some walking, standing and sitting/kneeling on the ground.
"If these are difficult for you please just let us know, ideally in advance so we can try to cater for your needs.
"There is a range of activities, if any of them is too difficult for you please skip it and join us for whatever you feel up to on the day."
Those who wish to take part should meet at Lochgilphead War Memorial on the Front Green on Sunday March 16, 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
Although free, people are asked to book a place through www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/the-grab-trust
