As from Monday March 15, Seil Island Hall will be used as a makeshift base for Easdale Primary School.
The news has been welcomed by parents who called for the hall to be used as an alternative rather that transporting their children off the island for lessons elsewhere.
The temporary site is expected to stay in use until the Easter holidays.
The arrangement means the hall playpark will be closed to the public on school days between 9am and 3.30pm - a lot of teaching, particularly of the younger children, will take place outside.
A plea has also gone out to drivers to take extra care in the area at the busy drop-off and pick-up times.
After the electrics problem first emerged, a separate space for the affected primary age pupils was quickly designated at Oban Primary Campus, including an area to eat lunches and to play during breaktimes, while parents of nursery children were given the choice of a number of nurseries - including one an hour's drive away in Craignish. Most opted for Kilninver School.
