Competing at the North District event in Inverness on May 13, Joshua Beckett achieved three personal bests with wins in the Under 15 hammer throw, 26.68 metres, and in the 80m hurdles which he won in 13.35 seconds. Joshua also took bronze in the 100m in a high class field.
His team mate Angus Davies took third place in the long jump with a personal best leap of 4.74m. Angus was also third in the high jump. He won a third medal - a silver - in the 80m hurdles behind his clubmate.

Competing in the Under 15 girls competition, Maddison MacMillan won a silver medal in the long jump with a much improved personal best of 4.44m.
Last Saturday, May 20, the Lochaber juniors competed in the second match of the Grampian Track and Field League at Inverness.
The six age group teams performed well in all events.
The most remarkable were the equal winning distances of Under 15 duo Angus Davies and Joshua Beckett with four metres 54cms in respective A and B long jump events.
Joshua opened the track meeting by winning the first race of the day, the 100 metres, in 12.9 seconds with Angus second in the B race. Both were second in their respective 300m A and B races.
David Rodgers was fourth in the 800m and Osian Bellshawwas second in the B race.
Osian followed this up with third place in the javelin, with David second in the B event.
Maddison MacMillan achieved a personal best of 1.25m in the Under 15 girls high jump to come third and was also third in the 100m and 300m sprints.
Talia Ham was fourth in the 100m and 300m sprints.
Archie MacDonald continued to improve his sprint times with fourth place in the Under 13 years 100m and 200m.
In the Under 13 girls 100m, Liah Marsh was third in the A race, with Aisling Flavin second in the B race.
Liah was third in the 800m, while Aisling was third in the B event shot putt.
The Under 11 boys' team finished second team in their age group with Ruaridh Beckett third in the 100m and Caoimh Bellshaw second in the B race. They were also both third in respective A and B long jump pools.
The long jump was the highlight for the Under 11 girls with Grace MacMaster second in the A event and Carys Rodgers winning the B pool.
Grace was fourth in the 100m and 200m, while Sadie Ham took fourth in the 100m B race.
Carys Rodgers ran her best track race to date with a fine 800m in which she was pipped into third place in the final metres.
The third and final league match is on Sunday June 11 with the top four teams in the north section heading for a grand league final against the best of the east coast teams on August 27.
