Kinlochleven's Leah gets locks shorn - again

Kinlochleven youngster Leah Willis has had her long tresses cut for a third time to raise money for charity.

 

Lean, 12, a pupil at the village high school, and her family have lived in the village for the past two years.

 

Originally from Portsmouth, the family also comprises mum Laura, dad Dean and elder brother, Blake, 13.

 

Last Wednesday at Kinlochleven hairdresser Cait's Cuts Leah gave up 16 inches of her hair in aid of the Little Princess Trust, raising £155 so far with more donations still coming in.

 

Laura said: 'This is the third time she has cut her hair for this charity.

 

'She had 18 inches of hair cut off in May 2017 and raised £350 and had her hair cut again in 2018, donating 10 inches.

 

'She started cutting her hair at eight years old in honour of a school friend who died of brain cancer at the age of nine.'

 

The trust uses donated hair to make free wigs made for children and young people experiencing the devastating effects of hair loss through cancer treatment or other conditions.
