Supporters of end-of-life charity Marie Curie have stepped out on a memorial walk through Campbeltown.
Members of the Kintyre fundraising group were joined by family and friends as they made their way from Campbeltown Ferry Terminal to the Marie Curie Field of Hope on Kilkerran Road on Friday March 8.
A new sign was unveiled at the place of reflection, with branch chairperson Ruth McGougan doing the honours and removing the covering.
Afterwards, everyone who worked up a hunger on the walk was treated to refreshments and home-baking courtesy of Margaret and Willie Ralston who welcomed the group to their home.
Carol McEachran, from Campbeltown, who works as a practice education facilitator for Marie Curie’s nursing and quality team, took part in the walk.
“The memorial walk was a chance for everyone to come together and remember their loved one,” she said.
“Building a new life without a person you love is a life-long process, with reflection being an essential part of the grieving process.
“Thank you very much to the fundraising committee, volunteers, everyone who attended and Mr and Mrs Ralston who hosted hot drinks and home-baking in their back garden at the end of the walk.”
