Welcome back Royal National Mòd
The news that Fort William has been selected as the host town for The Royal National Mòd 2025 is music to the ears this week.
Confirmed to run between October 10-18, 2025, Gaeldom’s premiere event will take over our scenic area with prestigious competitions, performances and cultural activities.
The Mòd provides opportunities for people of all ages to perform and compete across a range of disciplines including Gaelic music and song, Highland dance, instrumental, drama, sport and literature.
It attracts communities from across the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA and has a legacy which lasts far beyond its eight-day programme of competitions and events.
Bringing the annual celebration of Gaelic language and culture to Lochaber for the ninth time says much about our ability to welcome and embrace such events and the abundance of visitors it brings to the area.
Footfall in the town centre will rise and local businesses will benefit as the area is showcased on an international stage.
Hosting the Royal National Mòd last year brought a £2.5 million uplift to the Perth area’s economy, with 98 per cent of spending taking place in the Fair City over the nine days.
Let's all work together and make sure Fort William 2025 is a Royal National Mòd to remember for all.
