Lochaber ladies try, try and try again in Leith

Lochaber came out on top in a commanding win over Leith, showcasing strong teamwork, individual brilliance and relentless attacking play.

The match began with an early burst from Lochaber, involving a clever pass to May Crawford who snuck past the defense to score.
The lead was soon extended when Rhiannan MacIntosh made a beautiful run to the try line, showing excellent pace and agility to secure the score. Shannon Wilson added the conversion.
Ella Gair then joined the try-scoring action, displaying a brilliant dodge before sprinting to the try line. Shortly after, Eilidh Towers made an amazing play, evading defenders and passing to Rhiannan, who powered through for her second try of the match. Shannon’s accurate conversion took the score 24-0.
Lochaber’s defense continued to shine with Eilidh’s impressive steal and massive run, supported by Rhiannan, who helped set up the next phase. Mairi Duncan converted.
Ella then unleashed a powerful run, showcasing her speed and strength to score another try, followed by another solid conversion from Mairi.
Rhiannan, not to be outdone, had a big run of her own, diving over for her third try of the match. Mairi’s successful conversion pushed Lochaber to a 45-0 advantage.
Lochaber’s defense stood strong when Leith threatened to score, holding them up just inches from the try line, but eventually they broke through with a try of their own.
Despite Leith’s efforts, Lochaber weren’t finished. Eilidh, once again, fought her way through the Leith defense, powering over for the try. Mairi made no mistake with the conversion, and Lochaber extended their lead.
The final try of the match came from Melissa Cardosi, who made a powerful run to the try line, finishing with a determined score. Mairi added another flawless conversion, bringing the final score to 59-5 in favor of Lochaber.
Lochaber’s display of skill and teamwork made for an impressive victory. They now set their focus for their next game, away to Garioch on March 16th. Supporters are encouraged and welcomed to join.
