Lochaber Live has cemented its place as one of Scotland’s most exciting new festivals after a vibrant weekend of music, culture and community spirit.
With the sun shining brightly over Fort William, more than 7,000 revellers passed through the marquee doors at An Aird shinty field, enjoying unforgettable performances, delicious food and the best of Highland hospitality.
The festival, which ran from Friday September 20 to Sunday September 22, brought together a wealth of Scottish talent with a deep connection to Lochaber.
Attendees were treated to show-stopping performances from Tide Lines, Mànran and Wolfstone, while the Jane Douglas School of Dance’s young performers danced alongside the musicians.
The free family day on Sunday was a highlight for locals and visitors, featuring emerging talent and an afternoon ceilidh that had the entire crowd dancing.
In addition to the fantastic music, festival-goers indulged in food and drink from Highland vendors. With no age restrictions and a welcoming atmosphere, families, friends and music fans of all generations came together to enjoy this fantastic event.
Gary Innes, Director of An Aird Events and the visionary behind the festival’s revival, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support.
He said: "We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The weather was perfect, the music was phenomenal and the sense of community here was truly something special.
"I thank everyone who made Lochaber Live possible - from our incredible musicians, the dedicated event team and our generous sponsors, to the brilliant people of Lochaber and everyone who travelled to be part of this experience.
"This wouldn’t have been possible without you and I’m beyond grateful for the support we’ve received. It’s been an absolute privilege to bring this legendary festival back to life and I couldn’t be prouder.
"From a musician’s point of view, closing the festival on Saturday night was up there with one of the best gigs I have performed."
Lochaber Live’s revival has been hailed as a resounding success, with many attendees already eagerly anticipating its return. The combination of world-class music, Highland culture and the stunning natural setting of Ben Nevis ensured this year’s festival will long be remembered.
