Playing under the Lochaber High School Banner, four teams - S1 Girls, S2 Girls, S1 Boys and S2 Boys - took part in the event at Banavie on Wednesday May 4 as part of Lochaber Rugby Football Club's annual Tag and Touch Rugby Tournament for primary and secondary schools.
Lochaber High School won this event and as the series progressed girls and boys from Mallaig, Ardnamurchan and Kinlochleven high schools joined in to bolster numbers.
Under the guidance of Lochaber RFC youth coach Stevie McAleer and Lochaber High School Active Schools co-ordinator Bridget Thomas, the teams progressed through various rounds to the finals day on Thursday June 30, hosted by Moray Rugby Club in Elgin.
Led by Scottish Rugby in conjunction with local clubs, results from the teams representing each school were combined on the day. Lochaber Schools finished joint third overall and were presented with a divisional winners board for Zone 2.
