Lochaber under 11 girls were first to start and Lily Cant picked up the pace after 800
metres to tuck in behind the two leaders. Lily finished the 1,500 metre course in five minutes, 55 seconds in third place with Carys Rodgers 16th in 7:09.
The team finished third in this age group.

Aaron Tressider ran a bold race in the under 11 boys age group, battling round the course with his main rival from East Sutherland. This led to an exciting finish, with Aaron edged out by three seconds to take second place in 5:31.

Toby Smith, still young in his age group, ran a confident race to take tenth place
in 6:05. Jethro Murray ran well to take the 20th spot in 6:29 to give the team second equal place with East Sutherland.
David Rodgers ran well over 3, 500 metres, finishing ninth in the under 13 boys’ race in 16.57.
Isla Cant was sixth in 22:49 in the very competitive under 15 girls 5k race which was run along with the under 17 women.
The next North League race is at the end of January in Mintlaw. The next local Junior Winter League race is this weekend at Nevis Range.
