Mid Argyll Round Table members and volunteers crossed Loch Gilp on Saturday October 26 with the pallets needed to build the bonfire for this year’s firework display on November 2.
Weather permitting, the fireworks display will go ahead at 7pm across from the Front Green in Lochgilphead.
Lochgilphead Primary School PTA and Parent Council will be raising funds on the Front Green from 6pm with glow-in-the-dark items - bracelets, foam sticks, glasses, hair lights etc - to help bring more colour to the evening’s display. All funds raised will got the PTA and PC - but cash only can be accepted.
Donations towards the fireworks display can be made at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/midargyllroundtablefireworks24
The fireworks displays in Mid Argyll will start on Friday night, November 1, in Tarbert from a new spot on the opposite shore to the Battery ferry slip and organisers say they will be best viewed from Pier Road. The display will start at 7pm, or after the last ferry has passed.
Minard community is also having its bonfire and fireworks display, on the foreshore, on Friday november 1, with donations requested for The Fire Fighters Charity. People are asked not to bring sparklers.
The following Friday the fireworks fun will spark off again when on November 8 the Kilmartin Community Initiative stages its fireworks night on Kilmartin Green at 7pm.
