After another successful John MacEachen Golf Memorial Trophy Day last month, John’s family was delighted to once again donate the proceeds to local cancer charities.
Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, more than £10,000 was raised.
Nicky Murphy, of Pink Ladies of Argyll, expressed her appreciation, saying: "We are truly overwhelmed by another amazing donation from John’s family which will go a long way towards strengthening and growing our support network for women who have directly experienced breast cancer.
"For more than a decade, Pink Ladies Day has been our flagship event but now, as a newly-established charity, this funding will help us offer year-round support to those who need it most."
Sally Orr, speaking on behalf of the Marie Curie Oban and Lorn Fundraising Group, said: "We extend our deepest thanks to the John MacEachen memorial fund for its generous and unwavering support. Their kindness enables us to continue making a real difference in people’s lives."
Oban Hospice/The Dove Centre and Oban’s Macmillan Day Bed Unit team were also delighted to receive a donation again.
The MacEachen family thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event, whether through donating prizes, buying raffle tickets, bidding in the auction or taking part in the golf tournament.
Special thanks go to Glencruitten Golf Club, Kevin The Camera, Kathleen and David Lafferty for their ongoing support and to Marie and Steve for once again offering the prize for the putting challenge.
Their generosity and kindness are appreciated.
