Community interest company West Kintyre Promotions (WKP) was delighted to welcome children’s entertainers The McDougalls back to Campbeltown and Ardrishaig last week, this time with their Fairytale Christmas Show.
The show is touring across the UK in December and January – with Max and Auntie Aggie even playing two shows at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Christmas Eve.
The duo stopped off at Campbeltown Picture House on Wednesday December 11, having performed in Ardrishaig Hall the day before.
The shows were attended by hundreds of locals across the two days and the children and adults delighted in singing along to festive favourites including Jingle Bells.
They also helped Max and Auntie Aggie solve some puzzles in Fairytale Land to make sure everyone had a ‘happily ever after’ in time for Christmas.
Max McDougall told the Courier: “We always enjoy coming round to Kintyre and West Kintyre Promotions look after us so well. Auntie Aggie just treats it as a wee holiday!”
A spokesperson for WKP said: “It has been a tough year for us in WKP, but it is always a privilege to work with The McDougalls.
“It was nice to get some dates a bit closer to Christmas this year and we hope that everyone had a nice time at the shows.
“Our grateful thanks to Ellen and the brilliant staff at Campbeltown Picture House, and to Peter and Arthur, Grace, Ella and Iona for their help and to Ardrishaig Hall.
“We look forward to working with The McDougalls in 2025 on their brand new show.
“Finally, we would love to wish everyone who attended one of our events this year a very happy Christmas!”
