Lochgilphead Golf Club mother and daughter pairing Kirsty and Eilidh Flanagan headed to St Andrews on Monday September 23 to play in the UK final of the Royal and Ancient Coronation Foursomes.
The duo had won through to the finals after the qualifying stages at club then at regional level.
Kirsty and Eilidh beat 71 pairs from the west of Scotland at Kilmaclom Golf Course in July to gain their place.
On Monday, they faced 16 pairs – 32 players - from across the UK at the Eden Course in a Stableford foursomes and came a creditable 10th with 37 points.
Kirsty said: “It has been a great experience to be part of the competition playing in St Andrews, home of golf.
“Over 1,000 clubs and 20,000 ladies competed and we were in the top 32; that’s an achievement it itself.”
The day concluded with a formal presentation dinner at the Old Course Hotel.
