According to the NHS, as many as 14,000 men could be unaware they have prostate cancer, with the disease accounting for a third of cancers not treated during lockdown,
Prostate cancer is extremely concerning for men in the UK and is now the most common type of cancer in men, affecting one in eight in their lifetime.
Prostate Cancer UK has launched a new, 30-second risk assessment tool which Mr Greene is keen for men to take part in, with the aim of helping avoid missed cases.
The tool can be accessed at prostatecanceruk.org/risk-checker.html
The Conservative MSP said: 'Prostate cancer claims the lives of too many men in our community each year and too often the warning signs are ignored or missed.
'That’s why I’m keen to highlight this tool in the hope as many men as possible will take a moment to check their risk level. Those 30 seconds could potentially make a big difference to your life so don’t delay. Take the test today.'
