It has been provided by SSE as part of their continued partnership with the British Heart Foundation outside the energy suppliers offices and former shop.
Chris Bowness, senior health and wellbeing advisor at SSE Group said: "Through our continued partnership with the British Hear Foundation (BHF) the BHF kindly donated a public defibrillator.
"Considering the location of Brodick depot, next to the ferry terminal and nearby shops, we thought this would be a great location to provide a defib. The defib case is located underneath a shelter outside the office, beside the petrol station and tourist information point.
"I’d like to thank Angus Raeburn and his team within the distribution part of the business at SSE, for their continued support for the health and wellbeing of their staff and communities they serve."
SSE are aiming to register all their defibrillators onto ‘the circuit’, the UK’s national defibrillator network that maps defibrillators across the UK, connecting them directly and automatically to ambulance services.
Chris added: "By registering our defibrillators onto the circuit, this enabled us to identify sites and communities that would benefit from supplying a defibrillator."
