Our new camera club, which went live on Facebook earlier this week, is a new platform for our readers to share, discuss and show off their best images from in and around our beautiful part of Scotland.
It is the first of a series of exciting new digital initiatives we are planning in the coming months, while members will also regularly be given the chance to have their images and name printed in the paper.
Head of online content Brian Hossack said: "We are blessed with such incredible scenery and setting in and around Oban, and our new group will be the perfect way to show that off.
"People can take images on top of the range cameras or use their phones, it is not about being an expert, it is all about giving everyone a chance to be a photographer for a day.
"We've been really encouraged by the response so far and I would invite anyone who is interested in photography to get involved."
Oban Times editor Susan Windram added: "People still love seeing their photos and name in all of our brands, and we will be sharing the images from the camera club both in the paper and online.
"We are looking forward to our readers getting involved and seeing how they have been inspired by this wonderful area that we live in."
