Those wanting tickets had just minutes to grab them when they went on sale at 9am on May 10. According to reports, they were snapped up within just three minutes of them being released online.
High demand for tickets also brought a warning for Nutini fans to be on scam alert.
The Corran Halls gigs are on Friday May 27 and Saturday May 28 and follow the singer songwriter's shows at Sheffield's Leadmill and four nights at London's 100 Club marking the 35-year-old's long-awaited return to the stage.
After Oban, larger live dates include headlining at TRNSMT and Victorious Festivals, sold-out outdoor shows in Bristol and Belfast and performing at Liam Gallagher’s Knebworth Park event.
European dates include a tour of Italy in July as well as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Andalucia Big Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin.
Paolo Nutini has been described as 'arguably Scotland’s biggest musician' by the BBC.
Originally from Paisley, his career had a strange start when an artist was late to perform at his school and he was asked by his music teacher to sing.
Just a few years later, Nutini had signed with Atlantic Records and his first album, These Streets, was released in 2006. Notable singles from that record included Last Request, Jenny Don’t Be Hasty, New Shoes and Rewind.
Its follow-up, Sunny Side Up, came in 2009 and topped the UK Albums Chart.
Both albums have since gone on to be certified quintuple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry.
After a five-year gap, Nutini released his third album in April 2014 called Caustic Love.
His last show in his native Scotland was three years later when he played a hometown gig at Paisley Abbey.
