Dunaverty Golf Club hosted the third annual Bill Brannigan Memorial Trophy competition on Wednesday November 6, on what would have been Bill’s 84th birthday.
A total entry of 19 players turned out on the cloudy but not cold day to remember Bill, past captain and secretary of the golf club and organiser of the Wednesday Heidbangers group for many years.
Bill passed away in April 2022 and his memorial trophy was gifted to the Heidbangers to commemorate his great work by past club captain Donald Brown, who was this year’s winner, with an impressive 41 Stableford points – and hopefully a cut to his handicap!
Bill’s wife Linda presented Donald with the trophy.
