Inspire Inveraray and Inveraray Community Council came together on the newly reopened stone pier for a picnic and fundraising day.
There were carnival games for the children, refreshments and a grand raffle.
A total of £500,000 is required to repair the wooden pier and bring cruise ships back to the Royal Burgh.
Linda Divers of Inspire Inveraray said: “We raised £2462. It was the first fundraiser we have actually started on the new phase which is reopening the wooden pier.
“We had a picnic on the stone pier and games for children.
“There are a lot of small boats coming to visit the reopened pier. Loch Fyne Sea Tours came over from Strachur on Saturday and were taking people on cruises up and down the loch.
“We are getting a lot of good feedback from people. Being on the pier seems to be bringing back a lot of memories.
“Next, the wooden pier needs done. We can get the Waverley to come back. Just now cruise boats are stopping in Strachur and passengers are taking bus tours to Inveraray.
"When the wooden pier reopens the cruise ships will be able to come right into Inveraray.
“Saturday turned into a beautiful afternoon. Someone up there must agree with what we are doing.
“We had refreshments, games, prizes and a grand raffle. The businesses of Inveraray were very generous. We had home baking, strawberries, crisps, juice, cakes and strawberries.”
Raffle prizes included stadium tours at Parkhead and Ibrox, a two-night stay at a Crerar Hotel, vouchers from The George Hotel and Samphire Restaurant, a Waverley excursion and signed Glasgow Warriors ball among other prizes.
