Society secretary John Armour said: 'We are delighted that after having our 2021 ploughing match delayed because of Covid, we can return to our usual date for the 2022 competition.
'We have an excellent field at Machrihanish Farm with an entry of 20 competitors coming from near and far.'
Spectators are welcome but the society is asking that current Covid guidelines are followed.
The competition starts at 10am and the prize-giving should be between 2pm and 3pm.
There will be limited catering on the field.
