Police are appealing for witnesses after The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum was broken into early this morning.
Around 3.50am on Tuesday July 9, police received a report of a break-in at the Green Welly Stop off the A82.
Two ATMs were damaged and money taken. Several cash tills were also broken into.
Staff at the popular stopover announced that day: "Following an overnight break-in at the business, and substantial damage to deal with, sadly we will not be opening the doors of the business today.
"Police are on site. Thanks to them for their assistance.
"Thank you to those who have sent messages to us. We are all safe and well, thankfully."
The pit-stop shared a police post "for anyone with any dash cam footage from the wee hours to get in touch, especially around 4am. Thank you in advance".
Detectives from Forth Valley Priority Crime team are conducting enquiries and are eager to speak to any road users on the A82.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Gardner said: "Despite this happening in the early hours of the morning, I am appealing to any road users who have dash cams and who were on the A82 between 1.30am and 4am to come forward.
"Any small piece of information could prove significant as we piece together the circumstances of this crime."
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0423 of July 9 2024.
The next day, Wednesday July 10, the Green Welly Stop announced: "We are glad to say we are back open for business. We apologise to all our customers for our forced closure yesterday."
